Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our special bichon pups. We appreciate that you want to adopt a rescued senior. Upon receiving your completed application below, we will contact you to schedule a home visit.
We look forward to working with you.
There is an adoption donation of $350 per dog. Bichon Rescue of Orange County is an all-volunteer community of animal lovers who work together to save and re-home senior dogs in need. Your adoption donation helps to pay for medical treatment, grooming, food, and all of the expenses associated with fostering the dogs. Your adoption donation is not to pay for the medical care of the dog you are adopting; previous donations covered those costs. Your donation allows us to continue our mission of saving as many lives as possible through our rescue and adoption efforts.
Your answers to these questions will not determine whether or not you would be a suitable foster parent. They will, however, help us to determine what kind of dog would be appropriate. Our foster homes are the foundation of Bichon Rescue of Orange County, and we want you and your dog to have a successful experience. Please contact us with any questions. Thank you for taking the first step in saving a dog’s life!
The primary mission of Bichon Rescue of Orange County (BROC) is to help Bichons and other small breeds that can no longer be cared for by their owners. Although we concentrate our efforts on those in shelters or who have been abandoned or rejected, we realize that there are families who may no longer be able to care for them. We review and evaluate each surrender based on the information provided.
Please read the information on our Surrender Process page before completing this form. We will contact you to arrange a time to evaluate your dog and will advise you of the surrender donation following evaluation.
When you find that you can no longer keep your companion, it is difficult to feel comfortable leaving them behind. Pets are members of the family, and owners need to feel secure knowing that they will be safe and happy when they are being cared for by someone else. BROC understands your relationship with your pet and the need to have someone you trust caring for them when you are no longer able. We care for your friends’ needs as if they were our own. Questions in this profile cover your dog’s social skills, obedience history, and medical information. There may be more than one answer to some questions.
Please use the space at the end of the form to add any additional information about your dog.
Thank you for offering to volunteer with Bichon Rescue of Orange County. We rely on volunteers to accomplish our mission to help senior dogs find their forever homes. We are sure you will find that volunteering is a rewarding and fulfilling experience.
